Macrolides group of antibiotics.
-Most powerful bacteriostatic antibiotic
– long acting so, used for protection.
-Protection from BRD causative agent as
(Pasteurella , Mannheimia , Mycoplasma and Histophilus ) that cause pneumonia and shipping fever in ruminant during transportation .
-other indication: foot rot caused by fusobacterium necrophorum – conjunctivitis caused by Moraxella bovis.
-dosage: 1 c.m / 40 K.G body weight
–Route: S/C only
-precaution: the dose must not exceed 7.5c.m at one site of injection.
